The Permanent Representative of Bolivia to the UN , Sacha Llorenti, rejected on Monday the politicization and instrumentalization of some issues in the Security Council , as in the debate on corruption .
The diplomat Bolivia recalled that there are mechanisms and organizations worldwide dedicated to fighting the corruption, and the body of the UN should not take away authority or take jobs that do not belong as corrupt cataloging some member states of the UN .

Discussions within the Security Council must not undermine the independence and sovereignty of countries under the instrumentalization of debates; These meetings should not be an excuse to undermine the legitimacy of democratic governments , he said.
According to Llorenti, theCouncil must respect the sovereignty of States and support the peaceful resolution of conflicts, instead of stoking them.
Also, the Bolivian representative stressed that the UN should cooperate with the creation of institutions that ensure the rule of law and against corruption .
Sacha Llorenti exposed the action taken by Bolivian President Evo Morales to renounce banking secrecy in the interest of greater transparency and referred to anti- corruption initiatives developed by regional integration organizations as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and the Union of South American Nations (Unasur).
