The first artificial intelligence chip in China's cloud was unveiled Thursday by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai.
The chip in the cloud MLU100 developed by Cambricon Technology will have an operation of process of precise and fast big data especially in methods of search of images and voice.
Cloud chips are mainly used in cloud computing which includes servers and data centers. The MLU100 is powerful and can complete complicated intelligence tasks in the cloud according to the academy.
The chip in the cloud supports "deep learning" or neural networks that mimic human learning. Deep learning is a type of machine learning that involves algorithms that can analyze data, recognize patterns and make predictions.
