Erdogan: "US sanctions against Iran break the global balance"

Washington restored the sanctions against Tehran, lifted in the framework of the nuclear agreement.

The sanctions reinstated by the US against Iran break the global balance, said on Tuesday the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan , during an intervention before the Parliament of his country.

"We do not believe that the sanctions are correct, because in our opinion, these measures break the balance in the world," Erdogan was quoted as saying by the Anadolu news agency . "We do not want to live in an imperialist world," he added.

This Monday, USA He again imposed all the anti- Iranian sanctions that had been lifted in the framework of the historic 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran.

The measure represents "unprecedented economic pressure " on the part of the United States against the Islamic Republic to "negotiate the global agreement that will permanently prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and halting the development of Iran's ballistic missiles."
