Juan C. Navarro is nominated to the Presidency by the PRD

On Sunday, September 16, the PRD will hold primaries for all positions of popular election, as established by its calendar.

Juan Carlos Navarro, member of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), ran for the primary of the group and became the presidential candidate of the group for the May 2019 elections.

Navarro will try again to reach the Palacio de las Garzas, which the PRD abandoned in 2009, after losing the presidential elections, year in which Ricardo Martinelli rose to power.

On Sunday, September 16, the PRD will hold primaries for all positions of popular election, as established by its calendar.

From July 8 to 17, applicants for different positions must submit the application form at the headquarters of the Election Commission of the collective.

This is established in the Electoral Bulletin 4292 and the Resolution of June 29, 2018 of the Electoral Tribunal (TE), which regulates the opening, convocation and organization of the primary elections of the PRD, which will be held on September 16.

From July 31 to September 13, the PRD is authorized to conduct campaign and electoral propaganda.

With the recent electoral reform, the TE has the legal responsibility to regulate, organize, supervise and finance partisan activities to choose its internal authorities for the general elections of May 5, 2019.
