The president ofEcuador , Lenin Moreno, will attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Colombian president, Ivan Duque, scheduled for next Tuesday in Bogota, after which he will hold a bilateral meeting with him.
A presidential statement issued today in Quito indicates that the Ecuadorian president will travel tomorrow, Monday, to the Colombian capital, where he plans to arrive in the afternoon to the base of the Military Transport Air Command (Catam).
After his arrival, he will offer his first statements to the media, says the text.
Later, he will hold a meeting with the Colombian president-elect at a Bogota hotel, where he will discuss agenda topics of both countries and conclude with a dinner with the outgoing Colombian president, Juan Manuel Santos.
On Tuesday, Lenin Moreno is planning a meeting with the president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, he needs another statement from the Ecuadorian Presidency issued this afternoon.
Moreno will return to his country after the inauguration of Iván Duque, which will take place at 3:00 pm local time (20:00 GMT) at the Casa de Nariño, official residence of the Colombian president, and which will conclude with an official greeting among the leaders.
