New protests prepared for waste of public funds in Haiti

Some six people were injured recently during the funerals of six victims, an international media testified.

Social organizations and members of the movements against the embezzlement of public funds will protest this Thursday in Haiti to demand from the authorities a transparent management of the State and the prosecution of the alleged perpetrators.

In social networks this new mobilization was called, where citizens have filled the streets since October 17 to demand justice over the waste of social funds.

In recent days the demonstrations have been held in the main cities of the nation to also request better living conditions, access to health and education; in a country with high poverty rates.

At least six people were injured, four of them by bullet, during the funerals of six victims of the protests on Wednesday , the Spanish news agency EFE found .

Haitian President Jovenel Moise approved the investigation of the case, and Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant announced the creation of a commission to analyze all documents received.
