Russia and Bolivia have prospects for expanding contacts in several areas, including technical-military cooperation, declared Russian President Vladimir Putin, upon receiving the credential letter from the ambassador of Bolivia in Moscow, Hugo Villarroel Senzano.
"We have prospects for increased cooperation in the technical-military, mining, educational and other fields," Putin said.
The Russian leader recalled that he had fruitful negotiations with his Bolivian counterpart, Evo Morales, in Moscow last June.
In addition, he pointed out that Russian companies are implementing important energy projects in Bolivia.
"Next year we plan to launch a Bolivian nuclear research and technology center," Putin added.
He also stressed that this year Russia and Bolivia celebrate 120 years of diplomatic relations.
