Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said that the contract signed on October 5 with India for the supply of anti-aircraft system S-400 was nominated in rubles.
"The signed contract was nominated in rubles," the senior official told the press.
Borisov traveled to Cuba on October 28 to head a delegation to participate in a meeting of the Cuba-Russia Intergovernmental Commission and inaugurate the Russian pavilion at the 36th International Fair of Havana.
India closed on October 5 a contract with Russia for the delivery of five regiments of anti-aircraft systems S-400 for an amount exceeding 5,000 million dollars.
Russia has a plan in place to reduce the use of the dollar in its commercial transactions with other countries.
