The Syrian Parliament deplores statements by the Egyptian Presidency that pointed to the Syrians as the only ones responsible for the destruction of their country.
The president of the Syrian Parliament, Hamude Yusef Sabaq, described on false yesterday the president of Egypt, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, after he said on Sunday that "the Syrian people themselves are responsible for the destruction of their country", according to the local Syrian newspaperAl Watan .
After censuring and condemning such statements before the Syrian Chamber, Sabaq stressed that all Arab nations know very well such false characters as may be the case of Al-Sisi.
For his part, the Syrian deputy Tarif Koutrach asked the Syrian Foreign Ministry to call consultations to the charge d'affaires of Egypt in Damascus to give the appropriate explanations regarding "the ridiculous ridicule" addressed to the Government of the president, Bashar al-Asad, by the Egyptian Head of State.
This comes as a result of Al-Sisi saying that his country will not spend even a free (official currency of Egypt) for the imminent reconstruction of Syria - once defeated the terrorism extended since 2011 in this Arab country - because, according to him Cairo did not intervene in said destruction, the newspaper added.
In this context, Koutrach reminded the Egyptian leader that many of his fellow citizens did enlist in the ranks of terrorist groups such as ISIL (Daesh, in Arabic) or the Nusra Front (self-proclaimed as Front Fath Al-Sham), who they spread terror, destruction and death in all corners of Syria, as Al Watan gathers .
In this same line, the newspaper stressed that Al-Sisi should not forget that Yusuf al-Qaradawi, president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (UIEM), was the first Egyptian to issue a fatwa (religious edict) of uprising in Syria against the Syrian Army and people.
