Of the 800.000 tabloids distributed to date, more than 699.000 have been sold; while, another 200.000 will begin to move today to the thousands of points of sale of the Island.
The draft Constitution, which is distributed on the island since July 31, has been the tabloid most demanded by Cubans and the most sold in less time, said on Monday officials of the Correos de Cuba Business Group.
Of the 800.000 tabloids distributed to date, more than 699,000 have been sold; Meanwhile, another 200.000 will begin to move today to the thousands of points of sale on the island. This is how the Project reaches one million copies, informed Granma Eldis Vargas Camejo, vice president of the Cuban Post Office.
The circulation and distribution of these 200,000 new copies was a necessary measure, he said, because "this Monday, a week after starting distribution throughout the country, sales were already exhausted in most provinces."
The response of the people has been impressive. It shows the interest and the sense of belonging of all with the important process that will begin in the Island in a few days: the debate in schools, work centers and communities about the constitution project, valued Vargas.
The work of distribution, in charge of Correos de Cuba, has not been an easy task; It has demanded a lot of effort from all the workers of this Business Group, said José Manuel Valido Rodríguez, director of Institutional Communication of the entity.
To move the tabloid from the Graphic Arts Company Federico Engels, in Havana, to the entire national territory, Correos de Cuba has made available all its means of transport (harrows, trucks ...), explained Valido.
"Today we continue to strive to include even more difficult areas of the country, such as those belonging to the Turquino Plan," said Eldis Vargas.
Nothing will prevent the Draft Constitution from reaching everyone. This is what our effort is all about, he concluded.
