The total amount of contracts signed between Moscow and Havana during the visit of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov to Cuba exceeds 260 million dollars.

The senior Russian official also announced the signing of another series of contracts during the upcoming visit to Russia of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez.

According to Borisov, during the meeting held in Havana, the Cuban side confirmed the interest in signing important infrastructural contracts, in particular, the modernization of the national rail network.

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received Borisov on October 30, with whom he reviewed the excellent state of relations between the two countries, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Borisov traveled to Cuba at the head of the Russian delegation that participated in the XVI Cuba-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for economic-commercial and scientific-technical collaboration and inaugurated the pavilion of his country at the 36th International Fair of Havana.
