The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro reported that the government authorities received the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway to retake the dialogue tables with the radical sectors of the Venezuelan opposition.
Through the Venezuelan television channel, the president explained that the Minister of Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, held talks with the Norwegian delegation to coordinate the issues that were pending from the talks held in 2019.
"Jorge Rodríguez is talking, he received them here and now he is coordinating what was left pending on the issue of the Norwegians ... That issue was reactivated," said the head of state.
Maduro reiterated the willingness of the national government to settle political differences through peaceful, negotiated and democratic channels.
On July 24, Norwegian Foreign Minister Dag Halvor announced that a team of Norwegian officials was in Caracas to "update on the health and political situation" of the South American nation.
It is worth remembering that the Nordic country enacted the process of dialogue between the Government of Venezuela and the opposition faction led by Juan Guaidó.
